Messaging gateway integration
Solwise Telephony has developed a feature-rich API, enabling developers to integrate directly with our messaging gateway.




How much does it cost?
Integration with our messaging gateway carries a one-off setup cost of £250 which includes a level of support and technical assistance.  Also included is a bundle of one thousand outbound text messages and the free setup of an inbound text messaging number.


What integration methods are compatible?
Solwise Telephony tries to ensure that your integration with our gateway is as simple and pain-free as possible.  We offer various easy-to-use interfaces:

		HTTP The most popular integration method.  HTTP is one of the simplest ways of connecting to our messaging gateway.  Connection is via HTTP POST.
		HTTP over SSL Security conscious developers can rest assured when integrating with our secure servers.  Messages are encrypted using 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer technology.
		FTP This method of integration is designed for one-off high volume messaging.  The FTP upload option allows customers to upload text files to our servers and have the content automatically processed by our messaging gateway.
		XML For developers familiar with XML, the Solwise Telephony gateway offers an XML interface with its own set of DTDs.
		SMTP Email to SMS is currently being developed and will be available shortly.  This will be indeal for customers with an existing email messaging system.
		SMPP This method of integration is suitable for customers who send large volumes of traffic.  This is currently being developed and will be available shortly.  Integration will be using the SMPP 3.3 standard.  Customers will be required to have SMPP client software in place.  There will be minimum volume requirements.

How much does it cost?
Outbound text messages are priced on volume.  Inbound text messaging numbers include one thousand free inbound text messages per month, each.  Thereafter, inbound text messages are charged at 0.5p each.  There are no monthly rental costs associated with our text messaging gateway but a single setup fee of £150.  Technical support is available between the hours of 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (on an 0845 number).  Out of hours support can be arranged but will attract an additional subscription fee.
